1 Pizza (of course)- Our first fun fact about Italy is that is it the birthplace of the wonderful dish we all love. yep, Pizza comes from Italy. It was actually Naples who invented this. tasty delight that i think we all appreciate.
2 Cool Cars – Italy will forever be known for their production of High end cars that has made car lovers drool over since it was first invented. Who hasn’t heard of such brand names like the Maserati, Lamborghini, Alfa Romeo and the Ferrari to name a few?
3 Famous Explorers – World explorers like Christopher Columbus, Amerigo Vespucci and Marco Polo have always been in our history books and they are all Italians.
4 Pinocchio –One Italy fact you may not know is that the oloved cartoon characters are famous by Walt Disney is Pinocchio. The story is written by an Italian.
5 Cheese Paradise – Cheese lovers owe it to the Italians for producing such mouthwatering delights as the famous Parmesan, mozzarella, and ricotta that have spelled a difference to the pasta and pizza dishes.
6 A country inside a country – One interesting fact about Italy is it has an independent state under it; the Vatican. The Vatican has an independent life as it has its own electric company, TV and radio stations and it can lock its gates at night. It has the famous Swiss Guards to watch over it. 7 Famous Painters – Italy is the home of famous Renaissance painters and sculptors like Michelangelo, Botticelli and Giotto. Their greatest works are housed in Florence, the Renaissance city of Italy.
8 World Renowned Authors – Three authors came from Italy that has changed the course of Literature. They are Dante Alighieri, Giovanni Boccaccio and Francesco Petrarch. Among these three, Dante (The Divine Comedy) is the most famous of all.
9 Pre Dinner Walk – Italians love to take a stroll before dinner time. This, for them is the perfect time to socialize and notice or get noticed.
10 Introduce Gelato to the world – The Chinese were the ones who made the first Ice Cream but it was the Italians who introduced it to the world.
